Overview

You've made a significant investment to virtualise your computing environment; let ISC a VMware Authorized Consulting (VAC) partner help you get the most from your investment. Virtualisation touches many aspects of your data centre, such as servers, networks and storage, along with the organisations and processes that control them.

A VMware Certified Professional consultant will work with your team to understand your unique environment and provide guidance on the best practice for configuring and managing VMware systems. Working together with your team, our consultant will review your VMware infrastructure and provide concrete, actionable recommendations to optimise your virtual infrastructure.

Deliverables

Conduct assessment of VMware infrastructure (up to four ESX hosts) using the VMware HealthAnalyzer virtual appliance to collect inventory, configuration and usage data
Identify potential opportunities to optimise configuration and improve performance
Hold an interactive workshop to facilitate knowledge transfer on VMware best practices

Target audience

Architects and administrators currently using VMware ESX and VirtualCenter who have three or more months of experience with VMware Infrastructure.

Roles and responsibilities

VMware Certified Professional Consultant: Analyses environment and processes, conducts workshop, transfers knowledge of best practices and makes recommendations for optimal performance
Customer IT Manager: Coordinates access to IT processes involving VMware Infrastructure
Customer Systems Administrator: Responsible for server hardware, storage and networking
Customer Server Administrator: Responsible for operating system and applications

VMware Infrastructure Health Check will be delivered by a VMware Certified Professional (VCP) consultant from ISC, a VMware Authorized Consulting (VAC) partner.
Cost: £3,000

Requirements

Existing VMware infrastructure including VMware ESX
Administrator (root) access to VMware installations
Conference room with projector and networked desktops/laptops running Microsoft Windows 2000 or higher
