Application Delivery Solutions Architect

The purpose of this role is to provide effective presales assistance for products and solutions sold by the Enterprise Solutions group which enables ISC to sell the most appropriate solution to our Customers.

The Presales Consultant should work closely and effectively with Account Managers, Sales Specialists to deliver appropriate solutions meeting a Customer’s requirements.

The Solutions Architect is responsible for the following:

  • Verification of quotations and proposals submitted to Customers. 
  • Promote technologies that are approved within the business
  • Responsible for defining, delivering technical demonstrations and the facilities provided. 
  • Develop an individual plan to meet identified objectives.
  • Responsible for the transition of the solution into installation and delivery. 
  • Responsible for introducing best practices in all areas of your job role.
  • Understand the solutions focus of the Technology sector that you are working in. 
  • Ensure good customer service both internally and externally at all times.
  • Develop strategies to sell ISC business portfolio in your Technology sector. 
  • Behave and communicate consistently in line with strategy.
  • Develop good working relationships with Account Managers, Sales Specialists, Manufacturers and Distribution Partners.
  • Produce and manage all documentation in line with Company policy.
  • Ensure the CRM is up to date. 
  • Effective management of Customer expectations.
  • You will maintain skills and an understanding of technologies through training and accreditations to ensure that you can sell the full range of focus technologies within the your speciality. 
  • Responsible for evaluating new products and solutions to assess their suitability for ISC to resell.
  • Provide effective solutions training based on ISC strategy for an assigned group of Account Managers and Sales Specialists. 
  • To evangelise products within the solutions portfolio of the enterprise solutions group.
  • Responsible for the initial estimate of time required for a Customer solution.  

Job Holder Specification

  • Very good general knowledge of IT systems specifically including enterprise windows applications. 
  • Detailed knowledge on access, virtualisation, storage and security technologies.
  • Excellent communicator in all forms and to all levels. 
  • High level of negotiation skills.
  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role in the same sector 
  • Quality driven
  • Holds relevant accreditations 
  • Commercial aptitude
  • Able to achieve their potential, stay inspired and motivated. 
  • Ability to understand what is required at all stages of the sales cycle, from understanding the customer’s decision making process whilst meeting Vendor requirements for sales closure.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and influence to others 
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Able to develop good working relationships. 
  • Ability to provide effective training.

  • Citrix 
  • VMware 
  • Appsense
  • Riverbed
  • Thin Client Devices from a wide variety of Vendors including HP, Wyse, Chip PC etc

Experience with the following technologies:
  

  • Virtual Desktop 
  • Thin client Desktop 
  • Desktop Management
  • Protocol acceleration and prioritization
