ISC appoints new, highly experienced sales director

30/01/2008

ISC, one of the UK’s largest IT solutions providers, today announced that Simon Lawless has been appointed Sales Director. Simon has previously held senior positions at Computerland, Compaq Computer (now Hewlett-Packard) and Northamber.

Announcing the appointment, Paul Gumbley, Managing Director, ISC, said: "We are delighted that Simon has decided to join ISC. His successful track record in IT sales management, combined with his understanding of the IT solutions market place will be major assets in helping us expand both our customer base and the portfolio of services we provide."

"Having left Computerland after 13 years as a director I was looking for a new challenge," said Simon. "ISC has a sound reputation, a fantastic pedigree and good people. I genuinely believe there is a big opportunity to build on ISC’s successful track record with additional services that help customers gain even more benefits from their IT investment."

A major area ISC will be concentrating on is hosting solutions and managed services. These have been available to large corporations for many years but, typically, beyond the reach of mid-sized companies. Simon believes the time is right to change this situation.

"By using ISC’s proven expertise and skills to develop innovative technology solutions we can offer managed services that will deliver greater value to mid-sized companies," he says. "Using these services mid-sized companies will gain higher service levels, lower costs and free up internal resources to focus on innovation for the business. I’m really excited about the potential of this market."
