ISC Storage Karting Event
More than a virtual success...
Virtualisation was the theme of the ISC Storage Solutions team's grand Karting day at Milton Keynes in September. A joint venture with VMware, NetApp, Quantum and Qlogic, the event was an excellent opportunity for customers to discuss Storage strategies with our technical experts.

The 40 invitation-only guests also heard about anticipated trends in virtualisation from Claus Egge, head of European Storage Research at IDC. Claus explained how the growing maturity of virtualisation in 2007 is heralding an even greater leap forward for Storage: that of automated provision of virtual resources by the end of this decade.
Many present were sufficiently inspired to request a free ISC Storage virtualisation review, before bracing themselves for an exciting afternoon of motorsport. And there was nothing virtual about how Team Istanbul (ISC's Richard Schonfeldt, Ideal Shopping Direct's Raymond Baxter, Amit Dattani from Statpro and Eurodix's Jim Holloway) took advantage of the fine weather to complete 106 laps of the Daytona circuit in just 150 minutes - the team's average speed of 54mph narrowly frustrating some enthusiastic competition.
