ISC instrumental in £3,700 charity concert

A choral recital near Huntingdon, which ISC helped fund to the tune of some £1,000, has netted for charity almost four times this figure.

We sold all 360 tickets for the March event, which featured Rhian Mawr Lewis - an upcoming soprano talent in the mould of Katherine Jenkins - and the Caldicot Male Voice Choir. Compere was Look East's James Blatch.

Held at Hinchingbrooke's Performing Arts Centre, the concert was rapturously received by a capacity audience (many of whom requested it become an annual event) with choristers later accompanying concertgoers in an impromptu recital at the bar.

ISC provided a coach, hall hire and publicity posters, while funding was completed by Barclays Bank's contribution of £250. Proceeds of £3,762 went to Hinchingbrooke Macmillan Cancer Care and District Nurses at Eaton Socon Health Centre.
