ISC acquires Yanex

On 1st July 2008 ISC Computers Plc, completed the friendly acquisition of Yanex, a Runcorn, Cheshire based IT reseller and service provider. The acquisition cements ISC's position as one of the UK's largest IT Solution Providers.

"The acquisition of Yanex strengthens our presence in the North of England, enabling us to provide even higher levels of service to our customers."

Yanex's offices in Runcorn provide ISC with a purpose built regional headquarters, which will provide customers with easier access to demonstration and meeting facilities. In addition, Yanex is well known for the high quality of its consultants and technical staff, which will further strengthen ISC's ability to provide expert advice, guidance and technical services to its customers.

For Yanex customers the acquisition provides access to a wider range of technologies. "With our acquisition by ISC our customers can now take full advantage of its significant strengths in virtualisation and storage," says Andrew Holmes, former Commercial Director of Yanex and now Commercial Manager of ISC. "ISC is a top five partner of VMware, Citrix and NetApp and are acknowledged for its in-depth expertise in these technologies."

One of the factors that attracted ISC to Yanex was the similarity in the two company's cultures. "We both built our businesses on putting the customer first and responding dynamically and flexibly to their requirements," says Lawless. "The combination of a similar culture, extended geographical coverage and a high quality skills base means Yanex is a perfect fit for us."
