License maintenance
We can advise you on vendor maintenance programmes and renewals, assisting in the decision as to whether maintenance options suit your organisation.
When licenses are purchased with Maintenance or Software Assurance, often the benefits are not utilised. ISC’s Licensing Team can ensure an awareness of Microsoft SA benefits, then help action them.
Microsoft licensing schemes available from ISC
- Open License (MOLP)
Provides discounts to organisations with between two and 500+ desktop PCs, with a minimum order of just five items of software. Licenses are bought outright with nothing more to pay. While discount is based on size of initial order, you can buy additional licenses at the same price throughout a two-year term, or set up a new agreement at any time. Software Assurance is optional. - Select License
Provides discounts to organisations of 250+ desktops which can forecast likely software requirements over a three-year term. You buy the licenses outright with nothing more to pay. No upfront order is required as you buy software as and when required, at discount based on initial forecast, or (in the agreement’s second and third years) on the previous year's purchases. Software Assurance is optional. - Open Value 2.0 Subscription (OSL)
A three-year rental agreement for organisations with five-to-500 desktops which require one or more OSL products (Windows XP Professional Upgrade, Office XP Professional and Core Client Access License) installed on each computer. MS Software Assurance included as standard. - Open Value 2.0 (MYO)
For organisations with at least five PCs seeking the flexibility of spreading payments over three years, whilst standardising some or all Microsoft Platform products. MS Software Assurance included as standard and you own the licenses at the end of the three-year term. - Enterprise Agreement (EA)
Organisations with 250+ PCs which require one or more Enterprise product installations (Windows Professional Upgrade, Office Professional and Core Client Access License) on all computers. You buy the licenses outright, paying annual instalments over a three-year term. MS Software Assurance included as standard. - Enterprise Subscription Agreement
A three-year rental for organisations with 250+ PCs needing one or more Enterprise products on all computers. ISC Software Assurance included as standard. - Academic Open License
Volume licensing benefits discounted for educational institutions and charities needing five or more licenses. This is a two-year agreement with two licensing options. - Academic Select
This volume licensing agreement, discounted for educational establishments and charities with 250+ desktops, makes it easier to track software license acquisitions and to acquire ongoing Microsoft licenses, reducing total cost of ownership. - School Agreement
A comprehensive annual licensing programme for primary and secondary schools, based on number of eligible computers in school and number of Microsoft products used on each. Choose either a one- or three-year term. - Campus Agreement
A comprehensive annual scheme for further and higher education institutions. Available over one- or three-year terms, the agreement allows customers to license an individual department, a whole institution or specific students. - Student/Teacher License
A specially-discounted Office 2003 Standard license for individual students and teachers.
