Software Install Base

SAM determines what software you have by deploying a software auditing tool on your network. If you are running legacy operating systems, these may require a physical visit depending on your exact network configuration.

Software Entitlement

To assess which software you are licensed to use, we analyse all licensing documents.

The data from the SAM programme is then reconciled and a gap analysis identifies any disparity between the count and actual utilisation. If there is over-licensing or a shortfall, corrective action is recommended.

Should compliance purchases be required we will determine the most suitable and cost-effective licensing programme.

The SAM report is confidential; no information is passed to third parties unless you request a comparison with the relevant publisher’s records. All SAM projects are managed using PRINCE2 guidelines.
